Int. 798 is a New York City Council bill that would abolish the Gang Database, and prevent future databases from taking its place. It also provides critical information to people who were added to the database, and gives a private right of action to those who have been harmed by it. The bill also requires the City to create a public awareness campaign to educate New Yorkers about their rights.
